Winter Pattern Trees Card

£2.95

This card is made of 240gm kraft brown paper and comes with a kraft brown envelope - it is 6 x 6 inches in size

The design on the front is created by using one of the many fantastic patterned papers I find myself collecting with the paper creating the body of the trees and a bold spray of oak leaves to fill the page. I had the paper for this design when I saw it with the Christmas wrapping paper in a local shop – I so love the contrast of navy with a beautiful snowflake design in white – this is reflected in the poem about snow

The poem printed on the back of the card is as follows:

I always thought- a blanket

Such a bland description

Snow is not like a blanket

It is like itself

The clouds finding a temporary rest

Swapping their places of abode

So that as I look

Land, cloud, mountain, sheep

Are all moulded together

The clouds another layer

Of hills and mountain

The stars swapping with icy water

The dark grass

A paradoxical reflection of sky

The green trees

A mirror of the frozen wind

The houses as fairytale and strange

As castles up a beanstalk

The card is blank inside for your own message

Please do be aware that although the card does follow a design - as they are hand made it is impossible to exactly replicate the design each time - this does however make them unique. Also due to monitor differences the colour on your screen may be slightly different to the product
