Summer Pattern Trees Card
This card is made of 240gm kraft brown paper and comes with a kraft brown envelope - it is 6 x 6 inches in size
The design on the front is created by using one of the many fantastic patterned papers I find myself collecting with the bright paper creating the body of the trees and a bold spray of oak leaves to fill the page. I had the paper for this design for a long time just waiting for the right time to use it – I so loved the blue birds on craft brown paper I wanted to find a use for it and here it is in the body of the trees to express the “birds sondbirding the exalted days”
The poem printed on the back of the card is as follows:
The faded bluebells of late spring
And the lollipops of dandelion seeds
Give way
To every colour of green available
The birds shrieking
Songbirding
The exalted days
Of nest making
And parenting
The blackbirds guarded warning
Mixed with songs of love
Bringing forth new life
As sure as the trees
Are filled with summers light and warmth
