Poetry Book - Love Walks Quietly
This book is a collection of poems written at different times in my life - often inspired by nature and often trying to express how I feel through analogies to trees or to the moon or to seasons.
The poem Fell Silent Once More was inspired by observing a tree outside my room at university for example but often inspiration just comes to me as I walk or in the case of New Zealand drive around. I live in Richmond North Yorkshire and you can see from my Love Song to Richmond how I felt as I walked around the town and back to my home
Some of the poems express more difficult emotions such as sadness , anxiety or anger at the way the world behaves for example to refugees in the poem Home
My poems are never planned - they just come to me often as I write them and sometimes with words and meanings I do not fully understand
